Looks like my sewing machine is done. The little motivation I had to make my dress tonight quickly dwindled when my sewing machine stopped working. BOO!! double BOO! Last Christmas when I decided to start sewing more frequently, I used my sister's 15 year old singer. The thing is heavy, but it got the job done. Until, that one went out on me. I don't know exactly what the issue is with the older singer, but I know I need to take it in to a service center to get serviced. In an effort to get myself going, I went out and bought myself a brand spankin' new Singer. It worked, for about a week. That singer started getting stuck and wouldn't let me sew anything with interfacing, basically a fabric lining. In and effort to get back into sewing after giving up due to the machines dying on me, I took a sewing class. While in the class, the teacher mentioned to me the sewing machine I bought was no good and singer doesn't make the quality machines they used to. So here I am, machineless... with a dress not even halfway done. The pic above is how far I've gotten. That is just one side to the dress.
